During your initial consultation, your provider will review your full medical and psychiatric history, perform a physical exam, and order any necessary tests. Spravato (Ketamine) is generally appropriate for adults with treatment-resistant depression or major depressive disorder who have not had sufficient relief from at least two other antidepressants. Your provider will explain how the treatment works, discuss potential benefits and risks, and answer your questions before any decision is made.
Spravato is self-administered as a nasal spray under direct provider supervision in our certified clinical setting. You will be monitored for at least two hours after dosing, with regular blood pressure checks and full comfort support throughout. Many patients describe the experience as calming or dreamlike, and any mild side effects (such as dizziness or nausea) typically resolve within the monitoring period. You will need someone to drive you home after each session.
