Allergy Skin Testing & Sublingual Allergy Drop Therapy.  This service is available to adults and children of all ages and REPLACES traditional allergy shots in the form of drops or spray given under the tongue. Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT) has proven to be effective for the treatment of many common environmental allergies, as well as allergy related conditions like:

•    Asthma and exercise induced wheezing
•    Eczema and urticaria (hives)
•    Post nasal drip syndrome
•    Nasal allergies
•    Recurrent sinusitis
•    Allergic gastrointestinal problems
•    Other chronic allergy related conditions


 Allergy testing is covered by most health insurance plans, including Medicare

By targeting the allergen itself with sub-lingual immunotherapy, we can potentially control your allergies and improve your quality of life. SLIT is a completely needle-free program, meaning NO NEEDLES are ever required to test or treat our patients. The treatment can be given in the convenience of your own home. It is safe, effective and long-lasting.

SNAP SHOT:
•    Sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) is considered a viable alternative to injections (allergy shots) and is endorsed by the World Health Organization.
•    Clinical trials have demonstrated that SLIT is an effective and safe treatment.
•    The effects of SLIT appear to be long-lasting with studies showing continued efficacy 4 to 5 years after discontinuing therapy.
•    SLIT has less risk of systemic side effects and anaphylaxis.


COMFORT. CONVENIENCE. COMPLIANCE:
•    SLIT is well tolerated and most side effects are mild to self-limiting.
•    SLIT is attractive to many patients because it is tolerable, safe, convenient, and easy to use at home.
•    SLIT is an attractive option for young children who were opposed to injections.
